The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation is the professional Designation offered by the Council of Residential Specialists. The CRS Designation is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS® in the residential sales field. Fewer than 5 percent of all REALTORS® hold the CRS Designation.

Experience

Every CRS Designee is required to maintain membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and to abide by its strict Code of Ethics.

  • CRS Designees earn an average of $155,876 annually, which is 27 percent higher than in 2001, and nearly four times as much as the $39,300 that the average REALTOR® who sells real estate earns.

     

  • CRS Designees complete an average of 70 transactions per year, which is 36 percent higher than in 2001, with higher than in 2001, with average gross sales of $6.8 million annually. This compares to REALTOR® who work as sales agents who complete an average of 10 transactions annually with the average gross sales of between $1 to 1.5 million per year.
     
  • Less than 3.75 percent of all licensed REALTORS® are Certified Residential Specialists.
