Famous socialite and philanthropist Brooke Astor once said, "Money is like manure; it's not worth a thing unless it's spread around."

Astor certainly lived out this belief by helping to funnel millions from the Astor Foundation to worthy causes when she served as its president. And she made many of those decisions from the leafy precincts of her
former home, called "Holly Hill."
Built in 1927 and on the market for the first time in 40 years, the 65-acre manor recently listed at $7.5 million. The home located in
Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., is a sprawling 10,000 feet that includes 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and grand gathering areas.
Special features include a four-car garage, high ceilings, two pools and hallmarks of upper-crust living like cottages and outbuildings.
