Austin Texas Real Estate Blog Goes Open Source

Welcome to Guest Blogging!I’ve been maintaining this blog for several years now and while I love doing it, I also think it’s time to change things up a bit.

Guest Blogging Goals

When I think about the great resources across the Internet, it occurs to me that typically they are not the sole domain of a single author or even a few authors. The really useful sites out there are more like a mash-up of people in the know with varying points of view. I know that’s a shocker in the times of far left and far right life in America, but I think it’s true none the less.

Additionally, I’d like to provide a high-traffic outlet to help other folks, who write good content, get noticed. It can be a long and hard process to get to the point where your posts are indexed and cached and disseminated widely. I wish someone out there would have helped me when I first started.

So, down to the point of all of this.

This blog is now open to posts of other authors who are interested in Austin, Texas, real estate, homes, gardening, finance, construction, law, and life in general. This is not to say welcome to my blog and have at it. Instead, if you are an author and would like to have a post or posts on my blog, please know what it means to be a good guest blogger and then contact me if you are interested.

General Guest Blogging Guidelines

Posts Must:

  • contain factually correct information
  • provide useful information
  • be the property of the author who is submitting the posts
  • contain a link to the reputable source from which info was derived, if any
  • be on topic of either Austin, Texas, real estate, homes, gardening, finance, construction, law, and life in general

Posts Must Not:

  • be spammy
  • defame a person, harass, or otherwise be uncool
  • contain more than one self serving link (I will determine what self serving entails)
  • contain links to affiliate sites

By submitting a posts author grants me the right to remove or alter any posts after they are posted at my sole discretion, but mainly it will occur when I receive a DMCA or find out that some other guideline was violated. In addition, once a post has been published the Author and rights owner agree that the post may remain on the site indefinitely.

Here’s to a prosperous and successful 2010. Don’t hesitate to contact me with your posts!
